SCHIELE'S GHOST CYANOTYPE: 24#STEPHANIE #1893

'Cyanotype' is a collection created at the crossover of artistic tradition and technological innovation, where the timeless technique of cyanotype is reimagined through the lens of artificial intelligence. In this series, the portraits of 60 individuals were transformed using the 'style weight' Midjourney offers, which guides the AI to create a distinctive blue-tinged aesthetic reminiscent of the work of Egon Schiele. This diligent process, which involved countless iterations and adjustments, was designed to 'control' the algorithm and achieve a consistent visual language across the collection. Cyanotype challenges the viewer to engage with the evolving capabilities of AI, questioning whether technology can mimic the nuanced vision of a human artist. The result is a collection that is both cohesive and evocative, blending the old and the new in a series of works that capture the idea of Schiele's influence in a thoroughly modern context.
