Every year, around 400,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. The most common types of childhood cancers include: Leukemia (blood cancers) Brain and spinal cord tumors Neuroblastoma Wilms tumor (kidney cancer) Lymphomas (Hodgkin & Non-Hodgkin) Bone cancers (osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma) Unlike many adult cancers, childhood cancers are not strongly linked to lifestyle or environmental factors, they can affect any child, regardless of background. The gold ribbon is the universal symbol for childhood cancer awareness, representing the preciousness of children. This NFT was created in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September) and supports the mission of Tutti Cancer Warriors (TCW) to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and fulfill the dreams of young warriors.
