We noticed a deliberate external phishing attack targeting GMGN:
Attackers use counterfeit third-party token websites to induce users to click on them, triggering transactions that are not authorized by the user.
Currently, this issue has been completely resolved, the affected accounts have been restored to security, and similar phishing attacks have been completely blocked.
This incident affected about 107 users.
We will fully compensate 100% of the losses caused by the unauthorized control of the account and will be released to the GMGN account within today.
Before going to bed, a friend sent me the victim's statement. In fact, I immediately instructed our operations and security teams to intervene. I respect the accounts of real victims—but not uninvestigated media reports or obvious bot comments. That's what makes me laugh: someone exploiting the victim's words for their own ends.
I want to express my stance to all affected users. We are conducting a thorough and serious investigation into the causes. If GMGN is found to bear even 1% of responsibility, I commit to providing 100% compensation.
This will not take long. We will provide a conclusion within a few hours.
