After enduring 17 invasions, Somnath has risen again; it is not just a temple, but the consciousness of the nation. My Scindia dynasty has also contributed to this glorious saga. When in 1785, my ancestor Maharaja Mahadji Scindia defeated Muhammad Shah Abdali in Lahore and brought back the silver doors of Somnath, he avenged centuries-old humiliation. Today, under the leadership of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, Somnath and our cultural heritage have received new respect, a new identity, and a voice of national pride.
