I asked @jakeserval the single customer discovery question he asked that led to @getserval: "If you could hire someone to just sit next to you and do work all day long, what would you have them do? When I started asking this, it became very clear what customers wanted. It was automating all these manual, repetitive, low value, high effort help desk tasks that IT is often stuck with. The surface area of automation was practically zero. They weren't automating anything. It was very stark compared to everything in San Francisco. We were used to automating everything. This really haunted me and my co-founder. And solving this automation gap is ultimately the inspiration that led to building Serval."
