going out alone is not only empowering it's so much fun my wife and kid like to sleep in, and i'm usually up at around 3:30-4am, so I am frequently out at the diner by myself cannot tell you how many locals i have ran into and had great discussions with, how much work I get done, etc. i used to go to the movies by myself on my lunch break back in the day as well when I was single and working right out of college
