Great thread by @SamBroner on why stablecoins are a game changer. My favorite part: "Stablecoins improve the profitability of the lowest-margin businesses the most: restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops..." Here's how that could play out in practice: with better margins on payments, small businesses can reward the use of stablecoins while still staying profitable (e.g., offering reward point multipliers for using stables). Said differently, they can earn more AND pass savings from credit or debit card fees on to their customers. That can lead to more repeat business, higher monthly average spend per customer, and ultimately more local economic growth, all without real compromise from the business or the customer. Obviously, there are some tech and adoption curve hurdles to clear in the shor-term, but the long-term upside for both merchants and users is pretty exciting to think about.

Woah...if approved, this is a HUGE win for ETH and crypto: - It reduces circulating ETH supply by locking it up - It means regulators are dropping their “staking = security” stance - If yield is passed to investors, it makes ETH ETFs way more attractive - Even if they don't pass the yield on, they could reduce fees - It almost certainly sparks a race for more funds to stake, opening the floodgates In short, if this goes through, the crypto ETF wars are about to level up.

The Base app is a big deal. Instead of scattered products that often require a Mac or PC, the Base ecosystem will live in the palm of your hand. What stands out is their big bet to reshape the social media experience. The Base app puts creators at the center, with tools to connect, monetize, and build community. It leans into collecting as a form of support, and even has chat directly in the app (and of course, you can send crypto via chat). The wallet and trading experience as we know it is all rolled in there as well - it's sort of like they're shooting for an Apple- or Amazon-like ecosystem, where you have access to a connected suite of products that all work well together.
