4 years later and I finally experienced the benefits of an "L2 secured by Ethereum."
I had ETH stuck on OP Mainnet in @coinbase's web3 mpc wallet for almost 3 years. I was waiting for OP Mainnet support, it never came, and now the product is sunsetting.
I made a last ditch effort to try to send an L1 transaction that triggered an ETH transfer from my CB web3 wallet to a normal wallet on L2, and... IT WORKED

OMG I did it.
Shoutout @protolambda for direction that helped gpt and I get there.
Steps (all within CB Web3 Wallet):
1. Go to the optimismPortal contract on blockscout & login with your wallet:
2. Enter the params to you want (to = address you want to send your eth to - not the CB one).
3. Submit, wait like 3 mins and it works!
