Gigagas ETH L1 (10K TPS) The vision for scaling Ethereum is for the L1 to become a full ZKL1, a future unlocked by zKVMs (like @SuccinctLabs's SP1) and Real-Time Proving. At the @EthCC, @drakefjustin from the @ethereumfndn presented a roadmap that will allow the mainnet to achieve a throughput of ~10,000 TPS. This approach also radically increases decentralization, making it possible to run a full validator node on a $7 Raspberry Pi Pico device that consumes one watt of power. The roadmap includes an ambitious plan to increase the L1 gas limit 3x annually.
