Remember when a mob of 108 economists freaked out that Milei’s plan to slash government and dollarize Argentina would “cause devastation”?
Yeah… about that.
Turns out Milei fired up his economic chainsaw and chopped through decades of Peronist red tape.
He axed ministries, nuked taxes by 90%, and privatized six major state companies.
Rent controls? Gone.
Labor rules? Loosened.
Government bloat? Bye-bye.
And the results? Poverty dropped from 42% to under 32%.
The economy’s roaring with 7.6% growth - the best in 20 years - and inflation that once hit a head-spinning 300% is down to 31.7% and still falling. Even the homicide rate slid lower.
The “experts” insisted free markets would wreck Argentina.
