over the last years i’ve been spending a couple of months in different cities and so far nothing comes close to southern europe for me. of course, its not great if ur a local - low wages, rising costs of living due to lack of housing, and all the issues euros struggle with due to overregulation and lack of innovation. but those things aside the mediterranean weather is by far the best all year round, not extremely hot nor cold, plus plenty of beaches to go to during summer and also mountains just a couple of hours away for snowboarding during winter. add to that the people (maybe not in france except for my ct friends ofc), good infra (good trains and highways, except in italy, for some reason they are always fixing their roads), and culture. yes ik work culture is too chill but thats fine you dont have to live like that, yet its still nice to have the option to do so. i do love spending time in asia, but i feel comfier around europe, language + culture def help a lot, it’s just easier to go around even if i dont do much anyways. idk i think this is where i’ll settle some day, and cant wait to head back.
