/HEAVENLYANDEARTHLYLOVE/ #4611

True Love? The Greek Philosopher Plato distinguished between two kinds of love: a heavenly, spiritual form and an earthly, sensual one. This artwork is inspired in Ary Scheffer painting, 1850, who depicts this literally with heavenly love looking down at earthly love.
