The Hills Have Fire #32

This piece came right after a fire here in Southern California got close enough to our home for us to pack up and evacuate for the day. All the dogs, the cats, everything we grabbed in a rush. The day felt chaotic and uncertain, and the energy went straight into the work after everything settled. I expanded my DreamZzzone process here, spending more time refining each frame using photoshop and cutting pieces from one scene into the next to study how the motion changed between them.
