John Stewart Green Lantern 29450

First appearance of John Stewart, is showcased on Neal Adam's 1971 cover of Green Lantern Vol 2 #87. With backup Lantern Guy Gardner injured, The Guardians lead Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, to the designated substitute: unemployed architect John Stewart. Standing up to racism and challenging Hal's preconceptions, John Stewart's origin shows he's not afraid to stand up to injustice.
