Guardian Angel

Guardian Angel is a deeply personal and evocative piece, inspired by Hafftka’s reflections on life’s uncertainties and the universal yearning for guidance and protection. The artwork explores the concept of guardian angels as both a comforting fantasy and a means of coping with life’s challenges, such as loss and hardship. Drawing from his own experience of losing his mother at a young age, Hafftka captures the emotional duality of longing for protection and confronting life’s impermanence. His brushstrokes evoke a palpable intensity, inviting viewers to engage with the piece on both a personal and collective level. “The concept of a guardian angel is a beautiful one, universal across all cultures,” Hafftka reflects. Through Guardian Angel, he offers a deeply emotional lens on resilience and hope.
