Late night thought... Why do we call it theft when we do it? but policy when they do?

Was with my wife's family a few weeks ago and one of them said something about how they should have bought bitcoin when I first mentioned it but now its too late. Then someone else said "yeah but no one could have known it wa going to go up like it did." I responded: 1. You're not too late 2. Lots of people (like me and everyone on bitcoin twitter) had enough confidence that it could do what it did to bet on it substantially, and I told you so. Anyone else had a similar conversation?

This speed of hashrate deployment is mind-bending. That's more hashrate deployed by one miner in under a year than the entire network had until 2018.

No one is talking about how Cango went from running an online car marketplace to becoming one of the largest BTC miners in the world in under a year. 50 EH/s hashrate. Almost 4,000 BTC on the balance sheet. They're now sitting as a top 4 miner.

My bet is they figure out a way to not sell any.

The GENIUS Act doesn't allow Tether to use its 100,000 BTC as USDt backing. Paolo has confirmed Tether will comply as a "foreign issuer," requiring "an adjustment" to their reserves. Will Tether have to sell some of its bitcoin to meet GENIUS Act requirements?

This really resonated with me. If you spend all of your time extending your life, when do you actually live it?

It's because they understand investment and gambling but they don't understand bitcoin.
