Chubarek the pony, who lost his sight after a drone attack in Kharkiv region, has found support in his friend Caramella. She has become his "eyes".
During a Russian attack, a drone exploded near Chubarek, and shrapnel badly injured his eyes. Despite undergoing two surgeries, his vision could not be restored. He was only seven months old.
Chubarek was taken in by the “Rifugio” shelter in Kyiv region, run by Italian Andrea Cisternino. Andrea noticed in a video that there had always been a white pony next to Chubarek - Caramella. She was also brought to the shelter.
"When they reunited, Chuba recognized his friend right away, even without sight. Caramella hasn’t left his side since. If she wanders off, Chuba starts to worry and turn around. Then she comes back, touches him - and he calms down," Andrea shared.

A Kyiv resident helps her dog cope with panic attacks during Russian strikes.
During air raid alerts, she covers the dog's ears and plays white noise. This helps the dog stay calmer during explosions.

German Major General Christian Freuding: Russia aims to be able to attack Ukraine with 2,000 drones simultaneously.
Russia is seeking to expand its drone production capabilities and make its drone strikes even more massive, Major General Christian Freuding said on the Bundeswehr's Nachgefragt podcast.
Among the measures to counter Russian attacks, the General mentioned early-response strikes targeting Russian aircraft, military airfields, and defense industry facilities.
According to Christian Freuding, Ukraine was still receiving drone components from China just a few weeks ago. However, "right now, the situation is that China is effectively exporting solely to Russia, while Ukraine has been shut out of this market."

The Russian Empire must cease to exist as a political entity, and something may be built on its ruins, - Garry Kasparov.
"[For Russia], defeat in Ukraine is existential because it means that Putin's regime will no longer be a threat to the rest of the world. That is why we constantly say that there can be no progress whatsoever in establishing peace in Europe and everywhere else as long as the threat from Moscow remains. Today, Putin is the main source of these global problems. Therefore, only a Ukrainian victory can give us a chance that the future of the planet will become less vague," @Kasparov63 said.

Ukraine can win its war against Russia, Lieutenant General Alexus Grynkewich, nominated by the U.S. to command NATO forces in Europe, said.
"I think Ukraine can win. I think anytime your own homeland is threatened, you fight with a tenacity that’s difficult for us to conceive of if we haven’t found ourselves in that same situation," he said during US Senate hearings.

In Hungary, a group of activists who disagree with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's policies have prepared a letter of support addressed to the Ukrainian people, which has already been signed by nearly 50,000 people.
The letter expresses disagreement with the rhetoric of Orbán's government, condemns the Russian aggression that has been ongoing since 2014, calls for immediate, just, and lasting peace, guarantees of security for Ukraine, compensation for damages, and bringing those guilty of war crimes to justice.
"It is in our vital interest that our neighbor does not become a vassal of Putin's Russia but remains an independent democracy in which all citizens, including national minorities, can freely exercise their rights," the letter says.
In response, the Institute for Central European Strategy (ICES), too, initiated and published an open letter from Ukrainians to the Hungarian people.

"Our families are left without financial support, and our children are deprived of a proper summer vacation."
Workers employed by Gazprom's contractor, Zapsibgazprom-Gazifikatsiya, went on strike in Russian Vilyuchinsk, complaining that they have not been paid since March. They suspended the work, but now are being told that the forced suspension "will not go unpunished."
Now, construction of the regasification terminal, worth 13.1 billion rubles ($39,6 million), has been completely halted.
These people just don't know that everything is OK - Putin has given orders for a recession not to happen in Russia.
