Being in a big city like New York, Dubai, London, Singapore, is like playing tennis with Roger Federer. Your game is just going to get better by doing so. But not everyone can live in NYC, London, or Dubai. There’s a solution… There’s a way to curate your environment no matter which city you are in and be around and network with big players locally. On my first day at this new gym (way more expensive than my old one), I was sitting in the sauna and this older guy, mid 50s, comes in. Turns out he’s a leadership coach and his wife is a bestselling author who has worked around the likes of the Tony Robbins. If I had any buyers remorse about whether upgrading to this more expensive gym was worth it, that one convo killed them all. If you want to network and meet sharp, like-minded people, buy the nicest gym membership you can just barely afford. Outside of your house and office, the gym will be the place you spend the most time. Might as well make sure the room you’re sharing while exercising is also full of people with the same goals and aspirations.
