According to Wu, the Degen Foundation has issued a statement seeking community opinions on whether to burn a portion of the DEGEN tokens. Currently, the foundation holds 32.5% of the total supply and is considering a phased approach to reduce the supply in order to alleviate inflation expectations and reward long-term holders. The foundation stated that it will retain enough tokens for future development but may no longer conduct large-scale airdrops.
