While our @NFCsummit 2025 adventure kept unfolding in magical ways, thanks to dear @johnkarp @bygrida , and the entire NFC team; @befethemad and I were busy tracking the upcoming performances on @LumaHQ . There were so many talented artists we didn’t want to miss, so we thought; let’s head backstage, rest a little while. We had no idea that decision was about to drop us into an alternate reality 😅 Here’s the thing; If you're an artist preparing for a stage performance, there’s a lot happening beneath the surface. You try to calm your nerves, run mental rehearsals, and if you're using props, you check every single one. While waiting to be called, you scan the room for familiar faces to steady your heartbeat and remind yourself you’re not alone, your family is waiting for you. But the backstage has its own magic. Sometimes, if you're lucky, you run into someone who has inspired you for years. And if you're really lucky, they’re carrying a giant suitcase like a wizard, and they open it right in front of you. That’s exactly what happened when we saw @bryanbrinkman approaching us, suitcase in hand, mysterious glint in his eyes. He looked like an art sorcerer about to conjure something completely wild, and he did. He shared that he’d prepared a special show built around tapping into our childhood joy, those core memories that allow people to connect deeply, reflect, and open themselves to art in new ways. Then... he opened the suitcase. Inside were colorful wonders; balloons, beach balls, plastic toys, and a giant gym parachute! Yes, that parachute, the kind we all remember from school, recess, or summer camps. He was about to invite the crowd to play as part of the performance. And somehow, in one of the most unexpected plot twists of the day, @befethemad and I ended up helping him inflate beach balls. Three grown artists, laughing, cracking jokes, blowing up beach balls backstage like kids before a surprise party. It was spontaneous and hilarious, and in a way, that moment was our private version of the performance. We unlocked childhood memories without even realizing it. His show had already started, and we were the lucky ones who got the sneak preview. Once the beach balls were ready, his name was announced. @befethemad and I rushed to the main stage to watch, but something was… off. We couldn’t see @bryanbrinkman anywhere! We heard his voice, but he was nowhere in sight. So we assumed; Hey, maybe this is the whole point. Maybe the audience is the show. Maybe he’s inviting people to bounce the balls, lift the parachute, and play to lose themselves in joy, nostalgia, and sweet chaos. But suddenly... there he was 🤯 @bryanbrinkman right there among the crowd, not on stage, but in the middle of the magic, blending in perfectly. No one had even seen him arrive. It was a stealth performance move worthy of a magician, or maybe a ninja. Or both. And that’s when it clicked; This wasn’t just a fun segment. It was a hypnotic, interactive, mind-bending experience. He had total control over the energy of the room. And the result? Ten minutes of pure nostalgic joy, a childhood dream brought to life on the main stage of a cutting-edge NFT event. I swear, next year at @NFCsummit I half-expect @bryanbrinkman to vanish in the middle of the stage and reappear on those giant screens waving from the Great Wall of China. And honestly? I wouldn’t be surprised. Because that’s what he does! He brings the element of surprise, right when you least expect it and somehow, he makes it feel like it was always meant to happen 🤍
