Anyone who supports getting more food to people in Gaza—as I do—must also ask tough questions of the UN. This isn't about grainy footage. The UN itself reports that 87% of its 2,010 food trucks in Gaza (85% by tonnage) from May 19–July 29 were "intercepted"—either peacefully by crowds or forcefully by armed actors. That’s not an Israeli claim. That’s a UN admission as per the UN website (UNOPS). Time for real journalistic scrutiny.

🚨 Hamas is again spreading disinformation — falsely attributing casualties near UN/WFP convoys to GHF. We expect the media to treat Hamas claims with skepticism, not amplification. We expect the @UN to be transparent about the injuries and deaths occurring with their own convoys. And we expect the media to hold them to the same standards they hold GHF. We have received credible reports that there have been multiple casualties over multiple days due to stampedes of UN and other international aid vehicles. Facts matter.

The New York Times published an image of a child in Gaza, claiming the child was “malnourished” due to Israel, on its main account with 55 million followers. Five days later, it quietly posted a correction, stating the child actually had a muscle condition, on its alternate account with just 89 thousand followers.

Propaganda mission fulfilled. Great work everyone.

A common misconception about GHF is that we were established to replace the @UN and traditional aid organizations. That is not the case. GHF’s work complements, not supplants, those organizations. In fact, before GHF ever initiated operations in Gaza, it secured a commitment from Israel to allow aid into Gaza under the existing mechanisms, including the UN.
