I see a lot of InfoFi creators getting mad at Voh for saying it’s dead. It reminds me of when people said play to earn was dead in 2021. The concept didn’t fail. The first wave just ran its course. In my opinion, the current version of InfoFi is over. Attention is shifting elsewhere. Many companies are already seeing better returns by working directly with trusted creators. They are looking for performance, not just reach. InfoFi as we know it needs to evolve. Right now, a lot of AI content and fake accounts are taking most of the rewards. The opportunities are drying up. If you want to position yourself for what comes next, focus on conversion. Otherwise, you will be left farming empty impressions that no longer mean anything.

Web3 gaming has a big farming problem... and it's no surprise most Web3 games are failing. Too many questing platforms, engagement groups, collabs, bots, all built to farm artificial engagement. Why? Most participants entering Web3 are being onboarded through content promoting P2E and InfoFi, so engage to earn has become the norm. Now we have hundreds of guilds who don't even game, all focused on engagement farming their community for collabs and sponsorships. So of course, the "web3 gamers" are going to join the communities and play the games that reward the most. Max rewards, minimal loyalty. I could 2–3x my engagement by rewarding farmers, but I’m not here for that. I reward real participation from people who genuinely want to play with us and contribute to our community and regularly ban famers. Support the builders, not the extractors. Reward growth, not farming.
