Bitcoin: Not just a store of value, but a restorer of values.

What I think I love most about the bitcoin movement is how many people find purpose and meaning in finding their particular role within it. It's always something they care deeply about enough to forego everything else for. It's not everyone, of course, but even just seeing a few people, working with passion and integrity on what their calling is, is incredibly inspirational.

You can't force freedom upon anyone. That's why participation in bitcoin is an invitation to anyone to do so purely of their own volition. Anyone claiming to support freedom but relying on compulsion of others is, at best, lying to themselves, but nevertheless no true ally of freedom.

Word salad and intimidation are not demonstrations of knowledge or intelligence, but rather confusion and insecurity … and everyone sees it. Spewing it and/or pretending it’s valid is rather pathetic.

When you understand how Bitcoin operates - the proof of work, the use of hash pointers, the dispute resolution mechanism, the self-tuning to stay in time - you can see it's beauty, elegance, precision, and harmony. It's so much more beautiful than gold, which is shiny, but doesn't do anything, let alone the graceful dance that Bitcoin performs continuously.

I think in Russia they have the right to bear bears.

My one sentence TED talk today: If you expect a politician to care more about you than himself, or a political institution to care more about you than themselves, or a political party to care more about you than themselves, when you can see that you care more about yourself than you care about them, you'll see you're holding them to an unexpected and unrealistic standard, and that you should instead be seeking to disempower them and deligitimize their authority.

They’ve figured out that we’ve figured out how to escape and are now trying to confuse us about where the escape hatch is by offering escape-hatch lookalikes that aren’t escape hatches.

Wow. This is very interesting for attracting short term capital that's looking for short term yield without fiat price volatility - a very large market indeed.

So just buy bitcoin and study history, philosophy, economics, finance, psychology, art, math, rhetoric, logic, biology, architecture, systems engineering, and politics, then integrate that knowledge and explain to everyone why bitcoin is a radical, nonviolent revolution so that they all get on board and join in?
