I think InfoFi should rebrand to InfluenceFi
The goal isn't to measure the quality of information, especially when everyone has access to unlimited amounts of it
The goal is the measure influence
To accurately reward the people who are trustworthy and create unique content that leads to real growth
This idea that you can get paid and rewarded for posting surface level info about a project is garbage
It leads to low effort content and AI slop
10,000 posts from AI slop accounts is worthless
But 1 post from a trusted influencer that can drive new users and onchain activity is extremely valuable
And brands are beginning to realize this
The current state of InfoFi isn't perfect
But it's getting better
As it evolves, the real creators with real influence will be rewarded
The rest will be left in the dust
Influence > Info
The most underrated growth hack for building a personal brand on twitter is liking more posts
The more posts you like, the more often you pop up in people's notifications, the more you get recognized, the more likely they are to engage back
It's so simple and works so well
