yesterday, i took a bad sponsored deal. not only did i almost forget to disclose, but after digging deeper into the situation, i didn't know exactly what i was promoting as i only recall one side of the parties involved. creators, let my mistake be a lesson that: 1) always take accountability and own up to your mistakes. 2) do your own research beyond a content brief. 3) not every deal is a 'good' deal. to any agencies reading this: please make sure to brief your kols/creators with important information that extends beyond the actual "promotion". yes, i made the mistake of not doing MY own research, but i had to talk and ask some fellow gaming friends to get more information in order to get an understanding of what's going on. a content brief is cool and all, but we rely on you guys to source us deals that are verified, qualified and legit.

Ngl, I was left heartbroken after seeing what unraveled at Shrapnel last year. But @GoGalaGames is def cooking, kudos to @Benefactor0101 and rest of Gala team. This news gives me hope for a better future. Imagine, 600 MILLION new gamers and eyeballs back onto gaming. A man can dream, that’s all I’m going to say.

my goal is to humanize crypto brands. there's a reason why i lean so heavily into spaces and video content because most brands are lacking a "voice". it's also why encourage founders to hire a proper ct lead in case you can't show up 24/7. only a few understand this.

the next biggest paid hires in ct will be chronically online individuals that knows the ins and outs of crypto culture, have a strong personal brand and are relentlessly shitposting + sharing valuable content. don't ask why, but i just know.

the account with 100k+ followers, botted engagement and 10 mutuals is giving me advice on how to organically grow my brand. yeah okay.

creators, stop sleeping on streaming. this past week, i've streamed on sidekick's platform for the 1st time. with 2 streams, i've hit: ➤ 200+ viewers ➤ 45 followers still sitting at 0 leaderboard points, but i'll figure that out as i go. now, here are some things i like/don't like so far: ➤ sidekick is heavily asia dominated right now (not a bad thing at all) this means for western folks, like myself, this is a blue ocean for newer faces to dominate and enter the scene. ➤ the most popular streams are memecoin/alpha driven. this is expected with crypto streaming platforms as most users are probably interested in watching streamers trade fresh pairs and be 'degen'. i have to give my respects to @ZephyrTrading for killing it at this. ➤ it's fairly easy to use and setup if you're experienced in OBS, this should be no different than setting up a twitch or X stream. i always recommend having custom stream layouts to stand out and look 'professional' and clean as you stream. ➤ there needs to be a variety of tags a lot of the tags on the stream dashboard are kinda confusing. it's either skewed toward stream traders or nft/community based. i'd like to see more tags catered to more laidback, chill streamers like myself. the cool part is that i've only promoted my stream once and was still able to rack in some decent numbers. but, what if i turned it up a bit? i go live every tues + fri at 1pm est btw. come pull up!
