Today, @USTreasury is taking its largest action against Iran since 2018. This afternoon, we sanctioned more than 115 individuals, entities, and vessels that make up a vast shipping empire controlled by Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani, son of a top political advisor to the Supreme Leader. With today’s sanctions, Treasury has sanctioned over 500 Iranian and Iran-linked targets this year in line with President Trump’s max pressure campaign. We will continue to put America First by targeting regime elites that profit while Tehran threatens the safety of the United States.

Thanks to @POTUS, American jobs are coming back. For too long, Washington ignored how mass illegal immigration artificially suppressed wages, hurting working-class Americans—especially young men. Today, @USTreasury is sanctioning Brazilian Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, who has used his position to authorize arbitrary pre-trial detentions and suppress freedom of expression. Alexandre de Moraes is responsible for an oppressive campaign of censorship, arbitrary detentions that violate human rights, and politicized prosecutions—including against former President Jair Bolsonaro. Treasury will continue to hold accountable those who threaten U.S. interests and those who impose limits on our freedoms.
