I think this is why "token value accrual" infra setup as a day 1 feature at least signals that a project has thought about the entire value flow process. It's also why it's becoming more normalized. This doesn't mean you have to turn this fee switch on from day 1 and in fact most revenue should be driven predominantly back into growth for a very long time.

On-chain governance is just an access control tool + plugins. It is time to ask ourselves if the access control patterns we all use every day (like OZ AccessControl) really serve the purpose well. I personally think that on-chain access control is very young and we can def make an improvement here!

We love blaming failed “experiments” in our industry when we purposefully create misaligned incentives. Let’s game usage by pumping fake numbers with fake promises to raise money to separate equity from tokens to exit as quickly as possible and then expect a good outcome. 🤷
