We are building for a third, complementary thesis: c) the cloud thesis of crypto: a composable verifiable cloud of powerful developer services. EigenCloud augments chains: infinite-sum games EigenCloud is designed to be an augment for developers who choose existing chains for token settlement and token logic and augment their onchain logic with powerful off chain logic executed on EigenCloud. Existing chains focuses the Apps <> Users flywheel (closer to an App Store) whereas EigenCloud focuses on the AVS <> Apps flywheel (similar to the AWS marketplace). While EigenLayer is the foundation of EigenCloud and the contracts are rooted on Ethereum, EigenCloud will be able to support developers to augment their application across a wide range of chains: L2s and L1s.

EigenCloud uniquely powers Verifiable AI agents The biggest investment sector for the cloud is AI: for example, Microsoft is investing 80B$ this year into Azure AI expecting AI to drive most cloud demand. Our thesis for EigenCloud is similar: most verifiable cloud demand will come from AI. To power verifiable AI agents, it is necessary to have verifiable AI powering frontier AI models, as well as verifiability all across the agent stack: agent runtime, agent database / memory, computation, and tool calls.
