001: The Duality of Fate A story of the birth of Hercules, one entangled in immediate controversy and asking the question: can one escape their destiny? More 👇
From Higgs: In this inaugural portrait of Hercules' journey, we witness the birth of destiny's paradox: a life simultaneously blessed and cursed. The canvas unfolds with an intense red, a vibrant force that dominates yet yearns to escape its bounds. Below, a deep black void awaits, a mysterious emptiness that offers both refuge and foreboding. The boundary between these two realms is a delicate dance, a subtle transition where the line between fate's blessing and curse blurs, inviting contemplation of the weighty path ahead. In this moment, we are left to ponder: can one ever truly escape their destiny?
This collection was a collaborative effort from myself, @____higgs____, and @RikOostenbroek in an effort to weave a narrative story out of abstract art as best we could. Each work represents one chapter of the life of Hercules and connects to other works in unique ways.
