Each ABO can be connected to up to 6 other ABOs. Doing so changes the visual of your ABO by including the other ABOs. In a sense, you are curating the composition on your token. (2/n)

But not so fast! Someone might choose disconnect from your ABO, leaving the composition. While others might connect to your ABO, inserting themselves into your composition. (3/n)

Why 6 you ask? Because 6 is the ideal number of guests for a dinner to keep it one conversation. Similarly, the edition size of 150 is also known as Dunbar’s number – the proposed cognitive limit of stable social relationships an individual can maintain. (4/n)

ABO is released as part of [aside] series – a protocol that time-locks tokens and makes them untransferable until unlocked. In the case of ABO, to unlock your token, you need to interact: Connect your ABO to another, or have another connect to yours. (5/n)

ABO is a collaboration between @lennyjpg and me that is based on a previous work of his called Downloads (2024). (6/n)

The word ABO is short for ‘abonnement’, the german and french word for subscription. When connecting your ABO to others you’re actually subscribing to their downloads which show up on your token. (7/n)
