I have deep respect for @DAnconia_Crypto’s team for having the vision to host @DePINSummit in east Africa. Sub-Saharan Africa has <40% internet penetration - it was also the first place in the world adopt large-scale mobile payments. For an industry that talks a big game about blockchain’s ability to power a more inclusive global economy, we pay too little attention to Africa.

This is a place DePIN can make a difference and leapfrog the clunkiness and morass of traditional infrastructure. Imagine the rapid scale of networks for wireless, weather tracking, and mapping. Africa may be the first place where major infra is primarily community developed and owned.

Thrilled to see Africa front and center in the conversation this week (it’s extra special as someone with East African roots) and can’t wait to see what comes out of @DePINSummit
