When I tell Europeans that a pan-european identity is forming in realtime, they always push back. You have to see it; the mass introduction of complete outsiders blurs the lines of inter-europe group differences. the rise of right wing parties only strengthens this shift; pan-europeanism IS the new right. they keep the ‘nation state’ facade only to keep their power to reject the EU’s globalist agenda, but once a leader shows up who’s ready to unite Europe and disconnect it from the rest of the world; they’ll all fall in line, including their voters.
