Here's my spicy eth/acc hard fork take: some EIPs should launch in "beta", with the expectation that for a pre-specified period of time (one fork?) it's OK for core devs to break/change the feature if an issue is found post-launch.

Why should Ethereum upgrades happen in big bundled 'hardforks' where node operators are forced to upgrade their nodes by a date?
Why shouldn't nodes gate new features & only activate them after X% of stake signals activaton?
Would allow us to move much faster.
