One of the challenges App Layer teams have faced in recent months is the need to align deployments with THORChain’s release schedule, even though the ability to deploy and iterate quickly is critical.

This is an important change. It gives Rujira, and other App Layer projects, the ability to launch new apps, updates, and fixes on their own schedule, without waiting for the next THORChain upgrade.

Storing new code will only be possible through a single multisig address owned by the Rujira team, serving as a security release gate. Instantiating contracts will be allowed by the whitelisted multisigs of existing teams building on the App Layer.
