The crew of a TAP flight to Nice informs French air traffic control that the toilets are out of order and that they must land as soon as possible.
An endless misunderstanding ensues. The controllers thought they had heard the word "pilot" instead of "toilet".
The crew did not declare an emergency, but simply asked for help to speed up the approach and landing.
