We are excited to announce that Ondo Finance has acquired @strangelovelabs to accelerate our full-stack RWA platform development.
This acquisition significantly expands Ondo’s engineering and product capabilities to develop infrastructure for bringing RWAs onchain, at scale.
Strangelove brings a track record of developing production-grade infrastructure across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
Its team has contributed to foundational technologies, spanning from interoperability protocols and SDK frameworks to custom chain deployments.
As part of the acquisition, Jack Zampolin (@jackzampolin), former CEO of Strangelove, will join Ondo Finance as Vice President of Product.
With this acquisition, Ondo strengthens its position as the only full-stack tokenized asset platform with omnichain asset issuance, protocol design and blockchain development capabilities.

Thinking back to my early days in @cosmos, I remember a conversation with @zmanian back in 2019 where he described what we were doing as broadly "replacing the rails of traditional finance with decentralized alternatives". This has always stuck with me and focused my contributions to the space.
@zmanian and I spent the next couple of years onboarding every exchange, custodian, and project to the @cosmos stack that we could. This gave me my first real exposure to the intersection of tradfi and crypto and helped launch BNB Chain, OKX Chain, Crypto dot com Chain, and many others.
@sommfinance was another attempt at this idea: bring structured products out of banks and democratize access to a broader audience. @strangelovelabs started as a contributor to @sommfinance, however the Terra and FTX collapses foreclosed that dream for the team and led us to other work.
This is when we started working with with @dydx to help bring @usdc to @cosmos by spinning out @noble_xyz. This project brought deep collaboration with @circle and @dydx, giving @strangelovelabs more experience driving major products in a more regulated setting.
This work lead directly to working on Ondo Chain and the subsequent acquisition.
Now, tradfi coming onchain represents the largest capital flows we've ever seen entering crypto. The technical challenges around compliance, cross-chain settlement, and institutional-grade infrastructure are exactly what our team has been solving for years.
@OndoFinance + @strangelovelabs gives us an unrivaled engineering organization in the RWA space. While others are still figuring out tokenization and compliance basics, we're building the full-stack infrastructure to ensure Ondo continues to dominate as this market eats tradfi.
Timing is everything and RWAs are hitting an inflection point. The teams that can execute on the technical complexity will win.
