the idea for @subsdotfun felt simple: tokenize internet interests, and let communities emerge around them overall happy with how this experiment turned out

in a few short months: - several thousand users earning daily rewards - over 72k posts made - $350k in fees generated - countless weird, chaotic, brilliant subs no ads, no paid promos, just crypto people being extremely online

but the deeper we went, the clearer it became: you can’t just build a launchpad when tokens meet social you need to build a full-on social network that’s no small undertaking and ultimately, it wasn’t what we wanted to do

we’re a small team. we move fast, we ship, and we learn by doing and subs taught us a lot: - your earliest users are not representative of later ones - incentives will change the way people perceive your product - snipers and farmers are often more sophisticated than you think - community design is harder than protocol design

with that said, we’ll be winding subs down over the coming weeks everything in the app will stay up and running until july 31st and users can withdraw funds anytime over the next 60 days
