Some of the struggle about AGI alignment is essentially a relationship struggle. How do you get another consciousness to like you. In some people’s experience, this is hard-to-impossible, so they extrapolate and say it can’t happen. Some things might work well: be useful. Stay hawt/cute/appealing/charming (use what you’ve got). Be kind. Don’t be coercive. Don’t be creepy. Don’t be harmful. Tiger cubs know: being adorable goes a long way toward convincing their parents to take care of them.
