IMO, unfair response to a machine that's pretty obviously trying to complement, not replace bookstores (how would it even do that, it only carries ~12 books?) And the reason it says "read local!" is because it is made by a local author and selling books from other local authors!

This is probably the most unexpectedly negative response I've ever gotten to a post lol. IMO it's great people can stumble on a book they might like at lunch, and I definitely don't think a vending machine with a few local books can "replace" stores that already survived Amazon
