The algorithms have failed me. Researchers published a thermoelectric breakthrough 3 months ago that I'm only reading about now. Basically they are using conventional thermoelectric materials (bismuth telluride and antimony telluride) but grow them as nanoscale superlattices to enhance phonon scattering. This allows them to be thermally insulating while remaining electrically conductive.
