🚨JUST IN: Senate Banking Chair @SenatorTimScott, @SenLummis, @SenatorHagerty & @berniemoreno have just released their long-awaited market structure discussion draft. It was set to be released last week, but was delayed because of the House drama. It builds on the House-passed CLARITY Act as well as Lummis-Gillibrand, and takes aim at token classification, regulatory fragmentation, banking, disclosures, illicit finance and more. The Senators are also issuing a Request for Information, asking for feedback on 35+ topics ranging from SEC/CFTC jurisdiction to token classification, stablecoins, custody, investor protection, DeFi exemptions, even pig butchering scams.
