Trump just announced a trade deal with the Philippines, where they will lower the tariffs their citizens pay to buy our goods from 6% to 0% and Trump will raise the tariffs we pay to buy their goods from 10% in 2024 to 19% now. That's clearly a win for them and a loss for us!

Trump just cut the same deal with Indonesia. We pay 19% to buy their stuff, but they pay nothing to buy our stuff. So Indonesians get free trade—which means they pay lower prices—and we get protectionism and get stuck paying higher prices. We can't afford any more wins!
