According to reports, PayPal has announced the launch of its global payment platform, PayPal World, which will first achieve interoperability between PayPal and Venmo, connecting its largest payment system and digital wallet on a single platform. PayPal stated that it will allow users to make payments and transfers globally through local wallets, enhancing the accessibility and convenience of cross-border transactions, while also being compatible with AI agent payments, stablecoins, and new payment technologies. PayPal World is set to launch this fall. The first batch of partners also includes Mercado Pago, NPCI International Payments Limited (UPI), and Tenpay Global.
