According to Wu, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino tweeted that Tether announced part of its investment/venture capital portfolio today. So far, Tether has invested in over 120 companies, and this number is expected to grow significantly in the coming months and years. These investments come from Tether's own profits (projected to be $13.7 billion in 2024) and do not involve USDT (or other stablecoin) reserves, belonging to Tether's investment department. Tether's focus covers key areas including payment infrastructure, renewable energy, Bitcoin, agriculture, artificial intelligence, and asset tokenization.
