ok, I finally took the plunge and activated my @zora coin. I've been a power user of zora for more than 3 years, through all its many iterations, and I'm ready to give this version a fair shake too. @js_horne said something to me a little while back that made me a lot more comfortable with the concept of coining as a creator, which is that (paraphrasing) maybe digital content is less about tokenizing ownership, and more about tokenizing the attention around that content. Zora's grasp of the zeitgeist is unmatched, and so as a creator, I would be silly not to try and participate in the attention-tokenization of the content that I create. And so, I "pressed the button." Actually, I did it last night but didn't say anything publicly because I figured there might be opportunistic snipers at play, and well, I was right. Someone bought a huge percentage of supply immediately upon launch from an unapologetically named zora account called "snipe" (can't make this shit up lmao) but they seem to have already rugged all but 2% overnight and despite it painting a v ugly chart, this feels like a better starting point to build. I will be treating this purely as a creator experiment and coining visual and video art and content that I make from time to time to spin the flywheel and see where it goes. GLHF 🫡
