Finished watching "New York: A Documentary Film" It's an 8-part, 17.5hr documentary film on the history of New York City from 1609-2003, from Henry Hudson's exploration to aftermath of 9/11. It was made by Ric Burns, brother of Ken, and very much in the same style. Photo animation. Character-driven narratives. Voice over narration. Present day interviews. Learning about the city from this doc has made living here each day all the more fulfilling, rich, and exciting. Highly recommend. Greatest city in the world, 416 years running.
