I do like this new way of pushing onchain apps, but there's too much focus on creators getting paid and not enough thought on who is the one doing the paying. A lot people on these apps (including Towns) are only spending money for potential rewards. You have to look at the underlying tech and tools being built to form an opinion about these things.

To me, Towns makes sense because it's a tool that people with paid groups can use to collect payment and utilize other tools we offer like tipping and trading. Zora on the other hand doesn't make too much sense as who would want to buy into these posts that they can enjoy as much without paying.
