I grew up as a hacker studied computer engineering worked on startups as a software engineer and I disliked how constrained the role of SWE was 20+ years ago on these teams so I tried doing everything else in startup besides engineering: product manager, founder/CEO, angel investor, etc. that other stuff worked out to some extent, but it clarified to me that I just want to do the stuff I started with as a kid just building/hacking on things that pique my curiosity but now with modern tools LLMs/vibe coding came along to give me super-powers at my old hobby it's so much fun
