MSquared is known for delivering real-time social experiences at massive scale. Our Morpheus platform has hosted thousands of users in shared virtual worlds. Now we’re applying some of our learnings to Web Worlds, our open source, browser-native 3D platform — with new crowd support and sharper visuals.
This new update unlocks: ✅ Hundreds of live users ✅ Smooth rendering on consumer devices ✅ Browser-native, no plugins ✅ Fully open source Here’s what makes it possible ↓
DeltaNet: A purpose-built networking protocol Instead of sending full state data every frame, DeltaNet transmits and compresses only what’s changed. That means fast, low-bandwidth updates that scale with the crowd.
Smart Avatar Prioritization Each user has a high-fidelity avatar as we prioritize which ones to render in full based on proximity + relevance. Others are swapped with lightweight “imposters” that still feel alive and expressive while saving on GPU.
All of this is: ✅ Open source ✅ Built with web-native tech ✅ Available now Read the full blog post to find out more:
