Depth is a constraint. "There's this infinite possibility that gets manifested in a few deep relationships that I've found I can't achieve in broad scale superficiality." By constraining yourself (to a certain body of work, a partner, a group of friends, a location, etc.) you play an iterative game and go much deeper than you could if you continually bopped around.
